FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY!!!!!!

They are finallllly here. Penelope had kittens early this morning. Sadly two didn't make it, but three is a handful for sure! As you can see they look just like their momma! We'll keep you posted with weekly updates!

A Day Out!!!

Summer can get really boring. It's the mini trips that help us through. We took the girls to the Superstitoin mall and in the food court they have a huge carasoul. The girls love the tea cup seat. They spun til they were sick!!! It made me sick just watching!!! Of course Alese stood this one out!
Alese made me this necklace and it wouldn't fit over my head so she said she would wear it for me while I had my surgery for good luck. So sweet to think of her momma!

New Hair Finally!!!!

So, I am used to my brother doing my hair, when I moved here I kept putting it off cause I was scared of getting it done. I finally took Heidi's advice and used her girl (Heather) and she did a fabulous job!!! I also found out she grew up on the same street I did when I lived in Mesa as a kid. Crazy small world!!! So needless to say it was fun getting my hair done and remembering the good old days. Plus, no more roots! Yea!!!

Tempe Sunset

This was by the splash park. It was such a pretty area. It made us miss Seattle how we always went to the waterfront.

Sun Splash Fun!!!

Heidi dragged us all the way to Tempe right next to ASU for this splash park. (kidding Heidi). It was fun. The older kids weren't too impressed. I think they thought is was going to be more major, but for a splash park it was pretty impressive. I thought it was going to be bigger too, but I caught them having some fun!

4th of July

The weather was incredable! Cool breeze and under 100 degrees. We went with the Opfels to their family friends house that lets Rockin R Ranch use their field to launch the fire works. So needless to say we were plugging our ears being right by the launching site. Thanks Opfels for a fun fourth in a new town!

Our New House

Here is our new house. Well some of the rooms. I didn't want to go way overboard w/pictures so I will just go a little overboard.

This is the family room. Don't look too close at the decor, I have a lot to do in here!

This is the kitchen ( the only room I have finished)

This is Aubree's bathroom/ downstairs bathroom

This is Aubree's room. The bed is a before picture. We are going to paint it a different color. We don't know if we want to do white, pink, or the green in her room.

Alese's First Sewing Project

Alison taught Alese how to sew a pillow. She is so proud of it.

TV or Activity?

The kids were bored and I didn't want to just sit and watch TV with them.....Okay so I did, but I didn't want to be the boring mom. So we colored instead. It was fun to be doing something different even though it is a classic. A classic we never seem to do anymore.

The Latest Chore Charts

Okay all you moms out there, I think I found a good system for now. I got the classic sticker stars in the dollar section at Target. They also had a teacher packet of shooting stars. Each color of star represents a coin amount. The red star is minus a coin amount of your choice. I ask the girls to do a chore and if they complain before or during the chore , they get a red star. Some times I offer them a chore, sometimes they don't have a choice. That way they are responsible for what they make. I am tired of making my kids do chores and having to listen to the crying and whining while they do it. So I have put it in their hands as to whether or not they do chores. So far it has worked really well. I get more cooperation and they are proud of what they accomplish. I do not use the star system for behavior on the older two. I am tired of making threats and not following through (the big no no in parenting) So I have put the choice on them.

Chaz also spoiled them with all the goodies!

Stuffed animal, coloring book, t-shirt, and slinky. WOW!

Chaz is the guy we rent from and he works at Wells Fargo and he gave the kids the grand tour. He let them each hold a stack of cash of $10,000. They were loving that! Heidi's son Avery was with us too.

Aubree's eyes were closed in her picture so she wouldn't let me post it. (The perfectionist!) And of course Alese would not participate.

Our First Bank Accounts

Mom and Dad finally took us to the bank and opened our own accounts. Now we can save money for something good instead of twiddling it away on candy and junk. Yea for mom and dad!!!!
